WHAT WE DO

Wood'N Tractors builds 1/12-scale models of tractors and heavy construction equipment. These models are built entirely from select hardwoods, combining the beauty of natural hardwoods with the complexity of machinery to create collectible display models. A limited number of models are built due to the high labor content and the desire to place quality ahead of quantity. A great deal of time and effort goes into every model to ensure it exceeds expectations of the most demanding collector.

PRICING

Model prices are set by the number of hours it takes to manufacture, assemble, and finish, plus materials. In the beginning, parts are researched and developed, including CAD design, to ensure fit and repeatability. Many parts require jigs or fixtures to facilitate manufacturing, even in smaller quantities. Models are built in "batches" to maximize the efficiency of making parts versus set-up time. Even with advanced woodworking equipment, almost every part requires hand work before it is cleaned up and acceptable for assembly. All of these operations require time, which is (obviously) not free. There are no short-cuts to quality. If you are interested in purchasing a model please use the contact link.

Wood'N Tractors fully acknowledges the intellectual property rights of the original manufacturers and in no way claims any credit for the design of the tractors we build. We make every effort to faithfully reproduce, in our chosen medium, every aspect of the original machine which seems relevant. Because of the limitations inherant to the materials we use, we reserve the right to deviate from original designs where needed in order to create some parts. This is always done in a way which does not detract from the intended effect of representing a scaled model of the original machine.
